What they eat
Quality pellets as the base, plenty of fresh fruit and veg, with seeds as an occasional treat.
Their home
A roomy cage with bar spacing around 1.5 cm, lots of chewable toys and a daily stretch outside it.
Time & attention
Social and affectionate — plan on a couple of hours of hang-out time every day.
